"Nebenstimmen" is the podcast by Ensemble Modern members. "Nebenstimmen" brings you in conversations on music, art and life between Ensemble members and conversation partners chosen by them. In this episode, double bassist and Ensemble Modern member Paul Cannon speaks with the Czech composer and conductor Ondřej Adámek about the creative process inherent in composing and about his sources of inspiration. Ideas and points of reference that were central to the creation of his works are discussed. Together with Paul Cannon, Ondřej Adamek also reflects on the special relationship between composer and ensemble, here using the example of the creation of his new work ›Connection Impossible / Unmögliche Verbindung‹, which will celebrate its world premiere at the Bregenzer Festspiele in July 2024.
