Gifts of Grace
In ministry, our “gifts” are called gifts because a Giver gives them to us. That Giver is God. God has given us gifts based on His grace, not gifts that we have earned, but gifts that we can receive and operate in through reliance upon God’s goodness
Because these gifts are not of us, but rather gifts that have come from the Father:
- We have no basis for promoting ourselves
- We should complement one another without feelings of envy or jealousy
- We should look to God for how He wants His gifts to be used
- We should rely upon God for the power and wisdom to administrate His gifts

Leaders Need Friends
God created us to interact with one another. Friends are people that we love and they love us back. We can have many friends. Some friends are closer than others. We all need to have at least one close friend, a companion, a confidant.
A close friend is some that you can share your life with. A close friend is someone that you can confide in and get counsel from. A close friend is someone that you can call when you face difficulty. A close friend is someone that you can make yourself accountable to. A close friend is someone that you can be completely yourself with, someone that you don’t need to hide anything from, and someone that you know will love and accept you no matter what you do or say.
