From the womb of jazz architects around the world, a young lad living in the outskirts of rural Mars, a musical nightmare to those who subject themselves to sound pollution, a spiritual lacer, a DJ of hi-hats, kicks and snare’s. Being an appreciative lad he is, he began his journey of self discovery in the early existence of mankind, known to feature both Poseidon and Zeus in his works, he become seemingly entangled through the long threads of jazz to such an extend he began making a shrine out of old vinyl’s and cassettes, to him, jazz is what the big bang theory is to science, to him, jazz is what Jesus is to Christians. Falling under the siege of cliché, he ran away from his fortress to the harsh, weed infested jungles of what people listen to (clubs and these fuck-up lame pubs), but without loosing hope, he persisted into opening a portal to the outer space of jams, known to a many as PrayerOfAMonk podcasts. That’s where he was able to share the divine power of what Buddha taught him when they “rolled” together in Tibet. NakedJazzMonk has been incorporating jazz into everything, been admitted to several mental institutions in both Pluto and Venus because of a concern from his mother (Cleopatra) and His father Pharaoh, his mental state was questioned when he was found playing with Nina Simone’s hair whilst she was in slumber. Deflowering in Jazz: A Metaphorical ExplorationDeflowering as a Metaphor for Innovation: In jazz, "deflowering" can be seen as a metaphor for breaking new ground and challenging conventions. Jazz, as a genre, thrives on innovation and the exploration of new ideas. When musicians "deflower" a traditional form or structure, they are venturing beyond established boundaries, creating something fresh and original. This act of deconstructing the familiar can be seen as a sacred process, akin to a rite of passage, where the old is transformed to make way for the new.Sacredness of Transformation: The sacredness in jazz lies in the transformative process of creative exploration. Just as in other artistic or spiritual practices, the act of deflowering—removing or altering something familiar to reveal new possibilities—can be deeply revered. In jazz, this might involve taking a classic standard and reinterpreting it in a novel way, or improvising in a manner that pushes the boundaries of the genre. This sacred transformation honors both the tradition and the innovation, bridging the past with the future. The Ritual of Improvisation: Improvisation is central to jazz and often involves a form of "deflowering" traditional structures. During an improvisational performance, musicians may start with a familiar chord progression or melody and then deconstruct and reconstruct it in real-time. This process is sacred because it represents a personal and communal ritual of creation, where musicians engage deeply with the music and each other, forging connections and expressing individuality within a shared framework.Respect for the Original and the New: In jazz, the act of deflowering is accompanied by a deep respect for the original material. Musicians acknowledge the heritage and traditions that they are reinterpreting or challenging. This respect elevates the act of deflowering to a sacred practice, as it involves both honoring and transcending the past. By doing so, jazz musicians contribute to the ongoing evolution of the genre while preserving its core values and influences.Celebration of Artistic Freedom: The sacredness of deflowering in jazz also relates to the celebration of artistic freedom. Jazz is a genre that values personal expression and the breaking of norms. The freedom to "deflower" a piece, to explore its boundaries, and to create something new is a cherished aspect of jazz performance. This freedom is sacred because it allows artists to fully express themselves and to engage with the music in a deeply personal and meaningful way.In Summary:In the context of jazz, "deflowering" symbolizes the act of creatively challenging and transforming existing forms and traditions. The sacredness of this process lies in its ability to honor and transcend the familiar, enabling innovation and personal expression. It reflects a deep respect for both tradition and creativity, celebrating the continuous evolution of jazz as a dynamic and ever-changing art form.
