In this episode I share the legend of Lobo: King of Currumpaw, an outlaw wolf in New Mexico that dominated the landscape between the late 1800s and early 1900s. Lobo along with his sidekick Blanca avoided poison and traps and became one of the most legendary wolves to live in the Southwestern United States. But what's myth and what's reality? Come join me as we discuss how this story inspired not only locals to have empathy for wolves, but also how it inspired one of the greatest biologists and TV personalities our world has ever known.
