Her name is synonymous with eternal beauty, she is a cultural icon, and one of the most celebrated actresses of Indian cinema. (Music from her movie). Her immense popularity and the success of her films made her one of the highest paid actresses of her time. She was at the pinnacle of success when, in 1969, at the age of only 36, her life was cut tragically short.
