Malcolm X once said in order for us as African Americans to grow and build together, we must first go back and do research on our ancestors. By us doing this, not only will we have a better understanding about ourselves and our ancestors. But we will also gain more wisdom and knowledge because we are naturally wise individuals. We will understand how our ancestors stuck together and fought for us to be here today and how strong their love was for one another. We are very loving creatures but we show hate towards each other. Today our connections are weaker than ever, we are disconnected in jobs, education, organizations and even gangs. It is easy to cut us out because we have no pull in these places. Now would be the perfect time to connect and grow together so we can shine like the stars we are.
