Dr Katherine Bryant on Learning & Plasticity in the Brain

2017 - The MSCL Podcast series continues with the tables switched, now with Dr Erin Hecht interviewing Dr Katherine Bryant!

Katherine works as a Post-Doc at Emory University in the Anthropology Department, where she studies plasticity in the brain in relation to learning, in collaboration with researchers in both anthropology and educational psychology. She also talks about how her personal experiences influence the way she approaches this sort of research, issues and observations within neuroscience research and the way women scientists are treated in the field, her future plans, big unanswered questions in the neuroscience and neuroimaging, manatees, the role of science in society, and scientists getting involved in politics.
