Hello everyone! Welcome to MY Podcast.
Today i'm gonna sing two song. The first song is Let Me Down Slowly by Alec Benjamin.
"This night is cold in the kingdom
I can feel you fade away
From the kitchen to the bathroom sink and
Your steps keep me awake
Don't cut me down, throw me out, leave me here to waste
I once was a man with dignity and grace
Now I'm slippin' through the cracks of your cold embrace
So please, please
Could you find a way to let me down slowly?
A little sympathy, I hope you can show me
If you wanna go then I'll be so lonely
If you're leavin', baby, let me down slowly
Let me down, down, let me down, down, let me down
Let me down, down, let me down, down, let me down
If you wanna go then I'll be so lonely
If you're leavin', baby, let me down slowly"
And now let's talk about this song. This song is a story of heartbreak. In this song, Alec is talking about a moment of his life with his ex-girlfriend. Alec describes how gloomy and sad when his heart is broken. How hard it is to let go and be disappointed in someone you love. The warm feeling of love turned cold. And finally all that's left is a feeling of disappointment and loneliness. My experience after singing this song is I feel that the melody of this song is very beautiful. The beginning of the song is very good and the whole song is very easy listening. I really like how Alec described his heartbreak at that time. I could feel his emotion and helplessness in his tone and lyrics.
The second song is IT'S OK by Nightbirde. And here we go~
"I moved to California in the summer time
I changed my name thinking that it would change my mind
I thought that all my problems they would stay behind
I was a stick of dynamite and it was just a matter of time, yeah
All day, all night, now I can't hide
Said I knew myself but I guess I lied
It's okay, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay
If you're lost, we're all a little lost and it's alright
It's okay, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay
If you're lost, we're all a little lost and it's alright
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright"
And now let's talk about the song. This song is a feel-good banger narrating Nightbirde journey to healing. Innumerable tumors were found in her body on New Year’s Eve 2019, and days after the diagnosis, she was faced with an explosive divorce, a global pandemic, and a 2,000-mile leap of faith across the country from Nashville to Los Angeles. Doctors anticipated that she would die by June, but she persisted. In this song she wrote her story of going to California in the summer to healing. She said that, some times it's okay to be lost.
My experience after singing this song I can feel sad emotions from the tone and lyrics. When I first heard it, I was in a pitiful condition and this song really fits and describes how I feel. When I found out the story behind this song I couldn't hold back my tears. After that, I became motivated and finally recovered from the slump. I realized that it's okay to be lost sometimes.
That's all for today, thank you for listening and see you on my next podcast.
