Today's society welcomes wine culture and it can be dangerous for us as the body because it encourages us to turn to something else before God in our times of need. ANYTHING that we turn to - wine, food, friends, music, etc - before God can become an idol. It doesn't make these things inherently bad, it puts them out of position. God wants us to remember that He is always to be number one in our lives.
