In today's chat, we will explore the wound of judgment, which is a universal wound that we all grapple with. Even if you didn't grow up with overly critical or perfectionistic parents, our society pushes so many expectations on your life. From an early age, we learn that love and acceptance are conditional. Love and acceptance become a performative experience. We learn that to gain the approval of others we must abide by the social standards and rules that everyone agrees upon. This causes us to live unhappy and inauthentic lives. We are putting our happiness in other people's hands at the expense of our well-being. Stripping ourselves away from the expectations of others is the first step to healing ourselves and gaining real self-confidence. We are here to learn from our mistakes, and as we grow and learn, true self-love begins to develop. Check out this episode to learn more about the judgment wound!
