Episode 9: Łukasz Glasser (Glasse) – A Pillar of the Polish Electronic Scene
Glasse is more than just a DJ—he’s a true institution in the Polish club scene. With nearly three decades behind the decks, his journey began in 1996 and continues to thrive. From vinyl to digital, underground raves to major festivals, Glasse has remained a guiding force in Poland’s ever-evolving electronic music landscape.
Known for his trippy house grooves infused with progressive energy and percussive depth, he’s equally at home weaving smooth, organic deep house narratives. As a co-founder of the iconic IMPORT! events and agency (alongside Bartek Winczewski), he was instrumental in hosting international legends such as Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela, Seb Fontaine, and Gus Gus. His legacy also includes co-creating the groundbreaking Feeva!—the first club music compilation in Poland—and curating four IMPORT! compilations, as well as the cult-favorite Solar Classics mix for the Hel Peninsula’s legendary Solar beach bar, where he was resident and music director from 2005 to 2012.
Glasse’s influence extended to the airwaves with Starter and Houserka on Radiostacja (1999–2004)—radio shows that became cornerstones of Polish club culture. He’s also a driving force behind Gdynia’s Big Boat Party project and a staple at top clubs like Smolna, Sfinks, Prozak, and festivals such as Audioriver, Nowa Muzyka, and Creamfields.
In 2022, Glasse was honored with the Golden Munolud Award, recognizing his lasting impact on Poland’s electronic music scene. Always evolving, always passionate, Glasse’s artistry is rooted in a love for music that continues to inspire.
