Episode 6: The Evolution of Sound – From Psytrance to Progressive Journeys
Michael Dobkin – a name shaped by rhythm, driven by passion.
Born in Uzbekistan and raised in the Middle East, my love affair with electronic music began at an early age. My first encounter? Psychedelic trance—an electrifying revelation that felt like the most beautiful thing I had ever heard. Surrounded by DJs and producers, it wasn’t long before I stepped into the world of mixing and production myself, quickly realizing that this was more than just a passion—it was a calling.
Fast forward to today, and my sound has evolved into a deep, melodic blend of progressive house, techno, and beyond. Influenced by labels like Anjunabeats, Sudbeat, Mango Alley, RPO Records, 43 Degrees, and Warung, my sets and productions are a reflection of the music that moves me.
Over the past year, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to share the stage with artists like Rick Pier O’Neil, Albuquerque, Aaron Suiss, and Andrewboy—each experience shaping my journey further. The road ahead is unwritten, but one thing is certain: I’m embracing every moment, every beat, and every possibility.
