My guest today is the wonderful pianist Ruth McGinley. In 1994 she shot to stardom as winner of the piano final of the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition. This led to a successful playing career but also to uncertainty in her early 20s. She escaped an abusive relationship and overcame addiction to return to her playing.
