Apart from maneuvering border crossings, administrative paperwork, coping with jet lag and many other logistical issues, life on tour first and foremost provides fertile grounds for interacting with other people. People who the artists have never met before, or will never meet again. This leads to beautiful, funny or intriguing encounters, from strangers who offer help when an instrument trolley breaks to a random encounter with Paul McCartney.
