On Palm Sunday, 1997, the murders of 29-year-old Dedra Mims Hunt, her daughters Chelsea and Chelisa, and her 39-year-old fiancé Randy Duke were reported in Pelham, Alabama. Duke's 16-year-old son Mark Anthony Duke called 911 but he, along with 19-year-old Michael Brandon Samra and two accomplices, would later be arrested for the crimes.
