57. The Mourning News 20
We are putting down our books and picking up the paper, because this is The Mourning News! This episode is an important one. Like the rest of Canada, and the world, we were deeply saddened to hear of the discovered remains of 215 children found at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School. We discuss the details of the developing case, what took place in residential schools, and provide resources for those looking for support or more information (see links below).  We also give an update in the Lori Vallow case, cover a story of a missing teen found safe and, of course, we include a bizarre article at the end to lighten the mood.  Check out our socials to take a closer look at these articles. Also make sure to send us stories you think should be featured on The Mourning News! Email: murderandmerlot@gmail.com Facebook: Murder & Merlot Podcast  Instagram: @murdermerlotpodcast  Twitter: @murderandmerlo1 Cheers! *Tink*   Resources: A National Indian Residential School Crisis Line has been set up to provide support for former students and those affected. Access emotional and crisis referral services by calling the 24-hour national crisis line: 1-866 925-4419. Within B.C., the KUU-US Crisis Line Society provides a First Nations and Indigenous-specific crisis line available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It's toll-free and can be reached at 1-800-588-8717 or online at kuu-uscrisisline.com.
