This podcast is hosted by Darwin mums and journalists Molly Upstill and Kathleen Gazzola. Welcome to our little podcast where we, as fairly new mums, are having a casual chat about life in Australia's tropical north, raising our family and the challenges and joys of motherhood. We also sit down with with some well-known and some not as widely known women who call the Territory home. We talk about all things NT, their mum journey and why they’re raising their family in the Northern Territory. This podcast is recorded on Larrakia country. Music thanks to Alan Withers.

Adriana Dent on the often superficial world of fashion, women in construction, and the importance of the family unit.

Please note, this episode discusses suicide. If you or anyone you know, needs help, please contact lifeline on 13 11 14.

First up, Molly and Kathleen talk about how important it is to fill your own cup, after Molly returned from Melbourne refreshed and ready to head back to normality and routine. Even a few blisters couldn't dull the feeling of being home in her own bed.

Our guest this week is Adriana Dent.

She's worked for some of the biggest fashion names in the country, including Country Road and Sportsgirl but it was a trip to the Top End where she met the love of her life and became besotted with the Territory.

Adriana is a mum of two, and runs her own couture business, making high-end clothing from fabric printed in communities around the Territory.

But her journey hasn’t been all smooth sailing. For a long time, she had to put her own dreams on hold after her husband was involved in a terrible accident. While there are still struggles, it was the strength of the family unit that has kept them together and got them through.
