Ever feel like you’re running on autopilot—constantly pouring out for everyone else but rarely pausing to tune into yourself?
In this episode of the Mum Life Renewed Podcast, I explore the difference between introspection (awareness of your thoughts and emotions) and interoception (awareness of your body and its needs).
As Christian mums, we often carry the mental load, experience fatigue, stress, and even lack of sleep—but we don’t always slow down enough to recognise what our mind and body are really saying.
I’ll be sharing how self-awareness, rest, and reflection can help you reconnect with God, yourself, and your peace—so you can nurture your wellbeing while caring for your family.
The book I shared is called Heal Your Body by Louise Hay.

Hello, hello and welcome back! In today’s episode, I’m discussing a struggle that many Christian mothers face: burnout in motherhood. You know that feeling of carrying the mental load, running on little sleep, and still trying to show up with a smile even when your spirit is exhausted? I’ve been there, and I want to speak to the mum who’s tired in her soul but still trying to please God, love her family, and hold it all together.
I’ll be sharing how burnout can quietly show up emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically, and why many of us don’t even recognise it until we’re deep in survival mode. If you’ve been feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or distant from yourself and God, you’re not alone.

Take care, Mum. 💚
Feeling overwhelmed as a Christian mum? I get it. In this episode, I share a recent moment when I felt completely stressed, exhausted, and unable to think clearly after a busy day of work and motherhood.
I open up about how I turned to God, prayer, and reflection to regain peace and clarity, drawing on scriptures that have guided me through overwhelm: Psalm 46:10, 1 Peter 5:7, John 14:27, and Isaiah 26:3.
If you’re a Christian mother navigating emotional burnout, mum guilt, or the daily overwhelm of motherhood, this episode is for you. I share honest insights, faith-based encouragement, and personal experiences to help you reconnect with God, find calm, and experience emotional healing in the middle of life’s chaos.

Take a few minutes to listen, reflect, and invite God’s peace into your day—you don’t have to face the overwhelm alone.
On this episode, I talk about my journey of motherhood and the lessons I have learnt.
My 5 lessons of motherhood
1. Do take time for yourself and own needs to do activities you love and enjoy on a regular basis eg weekly or monthly for example
2. Do ask for help or accept help when given by reliable/safe people
3. Do focus on your personal goals and what you want to achieve for yourself as a woman.
4. Every season of motherhood has its own challenges that you have to navigate.
5. Carry out a routine that works for you, your family and your lifestyle.
Taking care of your own needs is not selfish.
