Given that April is Sexual Assault Awareness month we will be dedicating this months podcast to learning about sexual assault, becoming aware of the barriers and traumas these survivors experience, and the services available to these survivors within the Mujeres Unidas organization. Join us every week to hear our staff talk about how they contribute to the fight against sexual violence.
This week we are exploring the definition of sexual assault, learning who can be victimized by this type of violence, and the victim blaming society that these survivors live in. Also learn about how sexual assault affects the survivor.

Our hope through this podcast is to inform and advocate about intimate partner violence and sexual assault so that we can decrease the number of individuals who are victimized by these types of abuse.
