He is a member of the Hemp Feed Coalition, assists with the cannabis curriculum at SUNY Morrisville, and is on the Cornell Agricultural Advisory Committee in his county. He feels that the best way to build hemp infrastructure is through education and innovation. He founded My Hemp Depot in 2020 with hopes to give farmers and processors the opportunity to have a marketplace for equipment and hemp products. His farm operation continues to grow hemp fiber cultivars and was given the opportunity to grow adult-use (recreational) cannabis for New York in 2022.
