BANZAI!!!! I am soooooo excited to present our newest episode. As all of you listeners know, I am an SAMURAI MOVIE NUT!!!! That is no more prevalent than in this review of Akira Kurosawa's foray into the western genre but with a samurai flair, Yojimbo. You can't overstate how the western motion pictures influenced Kurosawa and how Mofune's lone Ronin (masterless samurai) totally represents the lone gunman. But let's not get too far into it. Listen and enjoy how we discuss everything from the western topic to the Meiji Restoration, in which this movie takes place. As always, we do this with a song in our hearts and bottle of SAKE in our hands!!!! KAMPAI!!!!
