Welcome to Movie Night! Today, I sat down with my friend, Cali Rogers and watched her favorite movie with her: 2013’s The Croods. Directed by Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders, and starring Nicolas Cage and Emma Stone, The Croods is an animated feature based on a family of cavemen. The central conflict follows Eep, a young girl who is tired of her father, Ugg, and his overprotective rules. However, when Eep meets Guy, a care-free, adventure-loving inventor, a new philosophy of progress inspires her and the rest of the Croods’ family. Except Ugg, of course. A solid, albeit imperfect, family comedy, The Croods works for what it is. Join myself, Tyler Marston, and Cali as we discuss this prehistoric pow-wow on tonight’s Movie Night!
