F1: The Movie is a sports drama about Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 prodigy from the 1990s whose career was cut short by a devastating crash. Thirty years later, while working as a racer-for-hire, Sonny is recruited by his old friend and former teammate, Rubén Cervantes, to join his struggling, bottom-ranked F1 team, APXGP. Sonny is tasked with driving alongside the team's hotshot rookie, Joshua Pearce.
