Movie Clinic
Dull Boy Pictures - Movie Clinic

Hi, I’m Duncan Paveling and welcome to Movie Clinic, the podcast that explores the therapy of film, thanks to your correspondence. Here at Movie Clinic, we welcome letters about a film that’s changed and in some cases even saved your life. Before inviting you to be part of a therapeutic session, based upon your letter, film and experience.

For some background, Movie Clinic began and continues as a regular column in Film Stories Magazine, founded by Simon Brew. As a filmmaker and Therapist (BACP), I’ve always been fascinated by the films we connect with and how they allow us to connect with others. As well as the parallels between the therapeutic space and that of cinema, environments which we’ve permission to explore our thoughts, feelings and behaviours, safely and without judgement.

For more information and to keep up to date, please refer to our social media platforms - at Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky and X.

And you’d like to write in and even book a session with Movie Clinic to share your experience, send your email to:

movieclinic@dullboypictures.co.uk

Thanks for joining Movie Clinic.

And in the meantime, be kind, be safe and take care,

Duncan
