Friends in Portland Oregon discuss movies, shows and what beers and drinks go with them.
We're back around to another space based horror film on this episode of Movie And A Beer with the 2025 shudder release, ASH. The film follows Riya as she awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man named Brion arrives to rescue her, an ordeal of psychological and physical terror ensues while Riya and Brion must decide if they can trust one another to survive. Ash stars Eiza González, Aaron Paul, Iko Uwais, Kate Elliott, Beulah Koale, and Flying Lotus.
While the film does lack a bit and falls flat, the two beers we enjoyed along the way did not. First up was a Black IPA from Oakshire Brewing (OR), and the second was a Saison-sour from The Ale Apothecary (OR). Both actually went well with the viewing, and we discuss some of the merits of each along with some brief explanation of the brewing process. Give the episode a listen if you want to hear about that and what a can conditioned beer is.
