Then, we encounter the rich young ruler who asked the right question but missed the heart of it. His self-reliance and attachment to wealth kept him from fully surrendering to Jesus.
The lesson is clear: the Kingdom of God isn’t earned by what we can do, but received by grace when we trust and follow Jesus. True life begins when we depend on Him like a child, detach from whatever holds us back, and once again depend—not on ourselves, but on His grace.
