When I heard that the  South by Southwest (SxSW) conference was cancelled, I knew many businesses would be hurt by the response to the virus. When the National Basketball Association (NBA) cancelled, I thought it might be a publicity issue. When March Madness was called-off, I knew millions of dollars of revenue was lost. There were serious and long-term consequences coming.
