Daffy was born in Bundarra, NSW in 1928, she was the youngest of 5 children. She came from very humble beginnings, something that she wouldn't take back and often longs for as it was a simpler time. Daffy left her husband in 1978 and she moved in with her daughter, son in law and two granddaughters (one of them being Melissa). Years later, she moved in with Melissa and her kids. During the pandemic, Melissa decided to start asking questions about Daffy's past, and her opinion on current affairs and recipes, she soon realised that her grandmother's "wise words" should be shared with the world, and so she did. Since then, Daffy at 93, has become a viral sensation, unsurprisingly, given her frankness, honesty and giving us a window into the past.

Daffy at her age, has a lot to say, and there is no mincing her words, she attributes her health and age to "not drinking or smoking, avoiding bad men, and eating her veggies" - there's so much more she has to offer, and that is exactly why Melissa keeps on sharing her videos. Melissa is the lucky recipient of Daffy's love and a go-getter attitude, she does the gardening, cooking, laundry and anything else to keep her moving.
