This is a complex topic. Kindred and Jo decided to approach this through their personal experiences as a young Black and Asian American, respectively. They are primarily talking about multiculturalism and race in the American context. (Kindred is in Alabama; Jo is in Southern California). 

There is more left to say because there is more left to consider, do, and experience regarding this topic as our lives continue to develop.
