Jesus often took ideas that were commonly understood and taught in a new way of thinking. He taught in the way things were intended to be. So while we often think of the blessed life being one in which we have it all together, Jesus teaches something different. Blessed are the broken.

Even if we don't think we do, we love rules. Sure we love to break them, or complain about them, but rules give us checklists to live by so we can say we did good. But following Jesus isn't about a checklist. If it was, we'd all fail. However, He gave us a different plan. In week two of Start Here, we'll find that when we accept that we can't do this, that we can't live up to the Big Rules, there's a different solution put in front of us.

We're told not to worry, but we can easily fall into the trap of not caring. What if Jesus followers took the passions of Jesus and made them their own? What if we did something about it?

Sometimes the simplest answer really is the best answer. When we first get to know Jesus we know that while it sounds simple, He is the best answer. And then we begin to forget and start trying to find our own answers. Let us not forget. Let us Speak Jesus.
