Cancer is Not a Death Sentence...We are HERE!
Series 1 Episode 5 Cancer Is Not A Death Sentence…We are Here! In the episode of Cancer is Not a Death Sentence…We are Here, Angie and Karlee discuss their response to cancer and how others react. It's a weird feeling. Some people avoid them, some people go astray and their tribes stick with them. They discuss the 5 stages of grief in regards to other's responses. Angie was very open and kept her friends and family in the loop. Some people respond as if it is a death sentence. And the girls wonder if they are not taking it serious enough. Karlee shared her diagnosis late in the game not to scare her family. She still finds it hard to talk about. They talk about their fitness level before cancer (Shaun T!) and how kale is not going to save them. Angie didn't smoke and got lung cancer. There are a lot of unanswered questions. That is OK as they are in the unknown stage on The Hero's Journey. In this episode, we discuss: · Can’t Change How Other’s Respond · Kale · Opening Up · We are Here! · 5 Stages of Grief Follow our Podcast: https://anchor.fm/mommyhadalittlecancer Instagram:@mommyhadalittlecancer In this episode, we mentioned the following resources: · https://breastcancernow.org/ · https://www.lung.org/lung-health-and-diseases/lung-disease-lookup/lung-cancer/ · https://www.maggiescentres.org/ ·  https://www.macmillan.org.uk/information-and-support/coping/talking-about-cancer/if-someone-has-cancer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero%27s_journey
