Shifting from “Get It Done” to “Enjoy the Moment” in Motherhood

After having my second baby at the beginning of August, I realized something that didn’t sit right with me: most of my interactions with my daughter had become task-focused. I was constantly telling her what needed to get done, instead of simply being with her. Once I recognized this and started making intentional space for connection, everything shifted, and our relationship now feels lighter, closer, and more joyful.

In this episode, I share my personal experience and some gentle, practical ways that you can bring more presence into your relationship with your child, even in the midst of busy motherhood.

What you’ll hear about in this episode:

  • The common trap of slipping into “manager mode” as a mom.

  • How task-focused interactions can impact your connection with your child.

  • The small daily shift I made that created a big change.

  • Simple activity ideas to use during intentional connection time.

  • The reminder that you don’t need to be “on” all day to be a good mom.
