S04E05 - From Party Girl to Powerhouse with Jess Jackson

Hello and welcome to Episode 5, Season 4 of FemmeCon Pod!

Today’s guest is the Founder of Good Living Only, Jess Jackson! Jess was also one of the fabulous pop-up boutiques at our recent S*x, Self + Stuff event! This episode is a vulnerable one. Jess was incredibly generous in sharing some of her most intimate moments with us and we can’t thank her enough for her candidness and honesty.

In this episode, Jess opens up about:

How growing up in a chaotic childhood environment shaped her early years and instilled a strength that would later become crucial in her life.
Jess recounts the harrowing car accident involving her, her brother, and her dad that almost ended in tragedy. She shares how surviving this near-death experience as a child became a pivotal turning point in her life.
In the wake of the accident, Jess turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism for her PTSD post the car accident. She candidly discusses how this habit became a destructive force in her life, shaping her identity as a 'party girl' and leading her down a challenging path.
Jess talks about the impact of a tumultuous seven-year relationship in her early 20s, which affected her self-esteem and sense of reality. She shares how she began to recognise patterns of abuse and the moment of clarity that led her to leave.
