Take 3-minutes to listen to this preview of the MissionLife Podcast! It’s a hometown first, start next door, kind of life. You can be a missionary right now. Together, let’s take some time to look through the individual little pieces of a missionary life. Sometimes, we might look at neighboring, relationship development or things that hit close to home. Other times, especially when I’m overseas, we might look at stories from international missions, cultural comparisons or even a Bible study through the lens of someone who might think differently than you. It doesn’t matter where you live, what you know or how you make a living. This Christian life, it’s a mission life.

From the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. So, what is your mouth revealing about your heart? When we place God at the center of our hearts, our overflow will reflect the kindness, compassion, forgiveness and love that defines who He is.
Are you running toward God or keeping your distance in your relationship with him? The Holy Spirit is our guide and desires to be in communion with us, but we have to lean into him if we're going to walk close to God.
Words matter. They create bridges or deepen chasms. Our words change others' lives, for better or worse. What are you doing to build bridges and paint a better picture for the lives of those around you?
God gives good gifts. What do you do with the gifts that God gives you? When we squander the gifts of God, we keep for ourselves what is rightfully to be given to others. Receive from God with open hands and give to others in the same way.
What does it take to make you angry and what happens when you get there? The Bible acknowledges that God can become angry, but it says that he is slow to get there. Jesus exhibited anger over injustice. Let's learn what it means to be angry and not to sin.
If we are to imitate Christ, we need to assess what we are speaking to one another. Speaking words of truth and life should be our ongoing desire and goal. That leaves no room for gossip, slander, or misrepresentation. Let's love each other with our words and actions.
If Acts teaches us anything, it's that we can do anything that God calls us to do. It doesn't mean that the journey will be easy, or even achievable on our own. But he is with us, and he is all we need.
We choose the chains we wear. Many wear the chains of sin. Few wear the chains of sacrifice to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our chains may be personal, but they can deliver or enslave others to the chains that they wear.
