With Don Verb all but quitting Facebook entirely (after a recent, silly "ban") we decided to use Episode #75 to readdress why we find ourselves under that redundant app's spell - STILL, in 2021! The reasons for which we're (mostly) done with Facebook are numerous but what's more important is pointing out why Facebook is toxic and how we find ourselves mindlessly using it to no benefit - and plenty of stress and brainwashing.
We think that it's time that we all step away from Facebook and seek a different platform from which to keep in contact with family, learn of current events, share our works of art and altogether provide our content. We ARE the only thing that Facebook (and other outlets) have to offer and we can step away at any time. We feel that the novelty of Facebook has run its course and that we need to free ourselves from its clutches, in order to preserve some dignity and to look toward a future in which there is a social media platform that is for US and not just for ADVERTISERS. We are sure that we are not alone.
