Simon Chan is an experienced and seasoned hiker who went for more than 100 hiking trips and summited many mountains in different countries. Unlike most hikers who hike the mountains for thrills, Simon found his purpose through hiking to help the villagers who struggle to survive in their own communities. Hence, he founded Trek for Hope, a non-profit group established in 2013 to rally adventurers, trekkers, and photographers to go on adventures with a mission to help the underprivileged community along the trek.
Currently, he is also the owner of Adventure Unlimited, one of the largest and fastest-growing hiking adventure companies in Singapore. Adventure Unlimited is an adventure travel agency that brings people on hikes to explore the unbeaten paths in Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, and the rest of the world, and it has more than 7,000 members.
Simon Chan is also an author of TravelledPaths.com, and an Award-Winning Blogger in the Singapore Blog Awards (SBA) (2014) and SBA Topical Blog Finalist (2015). He was also featured in Straits Times, Zaobao, I-weekly, Mypaper, S’pore International Foundation Magazine, Law Gazette Singapore.
