Why is it important for women to tell their stories with Chulu Chansa
Storytelling is a powerful way for one to share their life story, their passion, their desires, their hopes, their dreams, their strength & their liberation. African women, particularly, have experienced challenges "being heard" or having the opportunity, or platforms, to let their own voices be heard. Gone are the days when other people speak for the African woman, or write the story of her life for her. Sisters are now doing it for themselves! African women are taking the charge in all spheres of commerce, government, education, medicine, corporate industry, etc. They are making huge marks in society & even taking centre stage on global platforms, what with Kamala Harris elected as the very first female & African American Vice President of the United States of America! Our stories position us for great influence & we must never be ashamed or hide from the experiences & stories that have shaped who we are. We all bare scars that must empower us & not diminish or limit us. Africana Woman with Chulu Chansa is a storytelling platform designed to "smash the culture of silence on the things that hold us back or keep us stuck, to attract the life women truly desire & deserve."
