Welcome to the Mind Your Skin podcast, the show that will help us understand the link between how we feel and how we look by exploring the relationship between the skin and mind.
From an early age, many of us focus on improving our skin via the products we put on our face, but science is suggesting we treat the skin and mind as one, paying equal attention to what we feel in order to change how we look.
Join Poppy Jamie - a mental wellness advocate, best-selling author, and happiness researcher as she dives further into the science and explores the latest thinking and ideas with leading experts to help us all become skin-tellectuals.
The Mind Your Skin podcast is brought to you by Erno Laszlo. The science of skin and mind as one. Since 1927.

I am thrilled to be joined today by a fabulous new voice in skincare, Alicia Lartey, who is on a mission to bring impartial skin care advice, knowledge and understanding to a new generation. The scientist and aesthetician has carved a niche for herself on Instagram as one of beauty's most personable, straightforward and knowledgeable skincare experts.
Today I am speaking to Alicia about the relationship between skin and shame. Shame is a negative emotion that has been shown to cause psychosocial distress in patients with various skin disorders. Alicia explains that society should be blamed for creating this idea of ‘normal skin’ and encourages us to take steps to feel empowered even when we have skin imperfections. Alicia’s outlook on skin is refreshing to say the least and I can’t wait for you all to hear this episode!
