In this Episode author, Jolene Rader exposes us to different places and cultures. She encourages us through her books to embrace global and cultural difference while breaking stereotypes. Jolene’s goal in creating “Pilots & Places”, a children’s travel book series, is to have kids and their families learn about different countries, cultures, and languages and share their travel experiences. This, she hopes, will help more people to embrace global differences and celebrate our similarities. Jolene Rader is a Belizean-American and former Diplomat, who enjoys traveling, writing, and spending time with her family of four in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she currently works as an International Enrollment Specialist and Designated School Official at Regent University.
A Master’s Graduate from the University of Westminster in London, England (UK), she has lived in a few countries and traveled to many more. Through such, she’s enjoyed the thrill of meeting new people from all walks of life, learning about their cultures, sharing some of her own, and working together to better local and global communities.
