In 1984, the ordinary home of 14-year-old Tina Resch in Columbus, Ohio, erupted into a baffling spectacle of flying objects and shattering glass, earning her the chilling title, "The Columbus Poltergeist." Telephones reportedly soared through the air, lamps crashed to the floor, and mirrors mysteriously cracked, all seemingly centered around the troubled teenager. A famous photograph captured what appeared to be a telephone hovering mid-air near Tina, fueling a media frenzy and drawing parapsychologists eager to prove genuine psychic phenomena.
Yet, even as the paranormal events captivated the nation, a darker, more unsettling truth began to emerge.
