This is a new mini-series! Let’s talk about the growing pains we experience as we maneuver our early 20’s into mid to late 20’s. This adulting stuff doesn’t come with a memo you know! I’m joined by Shimonè who was my best friend since I was 18. We’ve been through a lot together and today we scrape the surface of our friendship roots. We open up about how a friendship can make or break you, we loved each other so much and yet we suffocated each other so much. We were each other’s anchor, comfortable with taking turns to drown so one of us can come up for air. Friendships can make or break you. Today we open up about the reality of it all, and how having individual identities is key when building a bond. Friendship breakups can hurt more than relationship breakups sometimes, we broke up and didn’t talk for 2 years. Only to find our way back to each other, more mature , healed and accountable and now we look back and laugh, realizing how life has brought us into a complete circle. So we have decided to share these lessons with you in this new mini- series. Two women of color sharing their life experiences together- in different parts of the world.
