S3 Ep. 16 - Disney Villain’s Roundtable: Am *I* The Villain?! w/ D’Manda Martini, Kitty Caveat, and Lady Toxie

In our Season Three FINALE we are talking about Disney Villains in a roundtable discussion with special guests: D’Manda Martini, Kitty Caveat, and Lady Toxie!

Questions, themes, and topics we touch on include:

  • Favorite Disney Villains and why

  • How Villain stories can help with our mental health

  • Being the Villain in someone else’s story

  • Narrative Therapy: What is it and how can we use it when we are feeling like a villain

  • Most Evil VS Least Evil Disney Villains

  • Revenge Fantasies

  • & so much more!

Guest Bios:

D’Manda Martini (she/her) the Chanteuse of Southern Maryland, is a Washington DC area based drag artist, cosplayer, theater actor & costume designer. She has been the winner of drag and cosplay competitions, acting awards, and costume design nominations. You can follow her journey on social media across all platforms at @dmandamartini

Kitty Caveat (she/they) is an artist, community mentor, licensed therapist, and author, who finds deep comfort and joy in all things multi-media. They have found solace in watching movies and connecting with diverse characters from a young age, and continue that legacy today in her freetime. Specializing in trauma recovery, Kitty knows the importance of having even a moment of reprieve and connection through film, and they are excited to join us as we explore some of our favorite cinematic multiverses.

LT Sauvage (Lady Toxie) (she/they)  is a professional costume and prop maker with specialties in sewing, painting and weathering. She loves connecting with characters and bringing them to life through the building process of her cosplays and collaborating on her photoshoots. Her love for fantasy and sci-fi is echoed in her most notable cosplays such as Commander Shepard (Mass Effect), Scarlet Witch (Marvel), and her original take on Princess Jasmine (Disney), which pulls inspiration from LT's Coptic Egyptian heritage. A recipient of multiple awards for her craft, LT has been featured in numerous publications and official pages, as well as at over three dozen events, premieres and conventions.

LT volunteers with West Coast Avengers and Cosplay for Science, and also runs the California chapter of the N7 Elite Costuming Club. She loves teaching and encouraging a variety of creative skills - LT believes cosplay and crafting is an actionable way to express yourself and is for everyone at any level.
