TRANSCRIPT:
Hello. This is Paul Evans, Findlay-Evans Waterproofing and Liquid Rubber in Melbourne. I just wanted to have a bit of a quick chat about a job that we've recently completed for one of our regular builders who pride themselves on doing a pretty good job, and we'd like to do that for them as well. So, what though, considering it's a big loading bay on a fairly sizeable warehouse, and the loading bay problems that come up in other jobs is that the water seeps in through the concrete pre-caste and ends up coming to fruition on the inside of the loading bay. And, of course, it eventually runs down to the drains. But, the destructive causes of that in the concrete are quite massive. So, those guys actually know what they're doing. They asked us to come in and do a waterproof membrane on the outside of these walls before they backfilled. Had to do it in stages and, during this time, it was quite wet. So, we had to do it in between rain showers and so on.
But anyway, apart from the challenges, we sprayed liquid rubber over the surfaces of the pre-caste after doing a preparation on all the lug points and joints and the bottom critical joint where it sits on the footing. Once that was all prepared, we sprayed a 1.5 to 1.8 ml thick coating of liquid rubber in one seamless spray coating. No joins, and that's the glory of this stuff. Once that was completed and cured, we came back and then installed a product that we have called Armor Blue, which is a protection sheet that sticks onto the membrane, stops rubbish getting down behind the protection sheet, which is quite often another big cause of leaks. And once that's stuck to the membrane, the backfilling is then carried out or [inaudible] goes, and then backfilling goes in. And, there were go. We got a watertight job, and the builder is very happy, and so are we. So, thanks for listening and, if you got any questions, give us a call on 03-88-12-2918 or the website on www.waterproofingfew.com.au. Thanks for listening and bye for now.
