Battle between self-love and self-awareness - Tanecia Nelson| Adversity Series| Ep. 2
|Brewing Resilience and Sipping Strength, One Cup at a Time   Guest: Tanecia Nelson Hosts: Tamra Douglas-Atkinson, Takiece Nelson, and Zavaughna James   In this episode, Tanecia Nelson-Mills shared with us the battle she faced between Self Love and Self Awareness. For the better part of Tanecia's teenage years, she struggled with accepting her physical features. Tanecia was constantly reminded of her flaws and because of that she struggled with accepting herself.  However, Tanecia found the meaning of true beauty when she discovered the beauty of inner self, and the beauty of a relationship with Christ. Tanecia reminded us of the importance of setting healthy boundaries amongst our friend group to ensure the emotional safety of everyone, and the importance of seeing that you are enough.    FOOD FOR THOUGHT: "When God was making you and I, He didn't make any mistakes. This was exactly how we were supposed to be, He cannot make mistakes" - Tanecia Nelson-Mills ----more---- RESOURCES MENTIONED Brief Resilience Scale - Adapted from the book 'Mastering Adversity: Unlocking the Secrets to Mental Wellness' by Tamra Douglas-Atkinson You may access the scale HERE   ----more---- SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLES Tanecia Nelson Click HERE for link to Facebook EMAIL taneciaismills26@gmail.com    Mek We Coffee and Reason Click HERE for link to Instagram  Click HERE for link to Facebook You may also contact us via email at schoolnursedaily@gmail.com   Remember to like, share, and subscribe to this podcast.
