Is a career in science research for you? MEFISTA Project Manager Karola Woods interviews MEFISTA Early Stage Researcher (ESR), Stefano Negrini, hosted by University of Lille in France, about his work on this European Training Network project, MEFISTA. Stefano, who is from Italy, explains in everyday terms to Karola what he is working on and what being a researcher is like. Learn about lasers, frequencies and their uses in this half hour podcast. There are five more researchers coming up who will explain their work in this 'scientist-meets-non-scientist' set-up. The ESRs are based with partners around Europe and are working to advance the optical communications of tomorrow. MEFISTA is a project looking at Multi-Scale Fibre-Based Optical Frequency Combs and is funded by EC Horizon 2020 under Marie Sklodowska Curie Grant 861 152.
