My conversation with Taren Gesell: Taren Gesell is the “athlete formerly known as Triathlon Taren.” For those of you who know Triathlon Taren you might be saying “wait, what?”
Taren is an incredibly accomplished age group triathlete and an incredibly well known YouTuber, Podcaster and social media personality. However, just as Taren was peaking as an age group triathlete, his body and his internal systems began to break down. As Taren began to research his condition, he quickly learned that it was not uncommon for endurance athletes to suffer such breakdowns.
Now, this does not mean that fitness and wellness are not achievable. What it means is that diversity of training - including cardio, strength, stretching and conditioning - is required to achieve fitness and wellness. This diversity of training can also be the backbone of a more healthy approach to triathlon training.
With that, Taren has introduced MOTTIV by Taren - an approach and a process that helps athletes find and create a training program that works well for them and helps them achieve their best level of fitness.
