7. Jennifer Hannibal: Mindfulness, migraines and boundaries.

In episode 7, I speak to my dear friend, colleague and peer Jennifer Hannibal of Mental Hygiene with Jen.

Jen teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction in the local community in Cornwall in the UK and will be going into her fifth and final year of the Masters of Mindfulness Teaching program at Bangor University in September.

In this episode we cover themes such as:

  • How Jen first learnt about meditation in secret from books at age 14.
  • Mindfulness meditation’s part in managing Jen's experience of chronic migraines and cluster headaches.
  • How the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course gave her a powerful and practical set of tools to cultivate greater wellbeing in her life.
  • The importance of boundaries in looking after our mental health.
  • The role hypnosis played in Jen's migraine healing journey.

Find out ore about Jen's offerings in the community here: https://www.mentalhygiene.co.uk/ or via her Instagram page here: https://www.instagram.com/mentalhygiene.jen/.
