This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8
Meditate means to muse, talk about, consider, meditate, sigh, sing. Our words have power (the power of life and death are in the tongue), but God‘s Word isn‘t just powerful, it‘s anointed.
What if instead of speaking what we think about ourselves, we spoke God‘s Word over ourselves instead as a form of meditation? What if we personalized and prayed scripture as a form of daily meditation?
Well, as God told Joshua, I believe that THEN you will make your way prosperous and THEN you shall have good success.

What do you do when your faith needs renewal? Let's explore the power of fasting for confession and recommitment. This is Cheree. Welcome to Meditating the Word.
It's Day two of our 21 day fast. Today, we're going to talk about Fasting to Confess and Recommit to God
We'll look at an account of fasting in 1st Samuel 7.
Father God, I speak Your Word over everyone listening to this podcast. I speak strength and dedication over them. Where their strength and energy begins to fall short, I know that Your strength steps up, providing what they need to make it through.
Thank You for Your forgiveness, Father. Thank You that Jesus paid the price for our sins and we have been fully forgiven for all of our past, present and future sins. We lay them down at Your feet and accept Your mercy and grace. Jesus took on all of our guilt and shame, so we lay that down too.
Father, we recommit ourselves fully to You and to living in Your truth. We set aside anything else that goes against You or Your Word. Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the spiritual practice of fasting that allows us to go even deeper, releasing our fleshly desires and rededicating ourselves to You.
Amen.
