This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8 Meditate means to muse, talk about, consider, meditate, sigh, sing. Our words have power (the power of life and death are in the tongue), but God‘s Word isn‘t just powerful, it‘s anointed. What if instead of speaking what we think about ourselves, we spoke God‘s Word over ourselves instead as a form of meditation? What if we personalized and prayed scripture as a form of daily meditation? Well, as God told Joshua, I believe that THEN you will make your way prosperous and THEN you shall have good success.

Day Ten: Fasting for Confession, Worship & Recommitment
Can fasting unlock a deeper confession, transform worship, and guide you back to God's path? It's Day ten of our 21 day fast. Today, we're going to talk about Fasting for Confession, Worship and Recommitment. We'll look at an account of fasting in Nehemiah 9 and we'll also look at a prophecy in Jeremiah 14. DISCLAIMERS: Remember, fasting does not move God. Fasting moves us. It puts us in a position to receive from God.   I am not a medical professional, and nothing in this podcast should be taken as medical advice.  Please fast responsibly. If you have any underlying health issues or unhealthy relationship with food, do not fast. And if you are going on an extended fast, it's a good idea to check with your doctor first. Father God,  In this sacred time of fasting, we approach Your throne of grace. As we deny ourselves the comfort of food, we seek a deeper communion with You. Our hearts echo the sincerity of our confession. We lay bare our faults and failings before You, and thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness. In this act of fasting, let every pang of hunger remind us of our spiritual needs, drawing us closer to Your presence. May this physical emptiness be filled with Your spiritual abundance, leading us into a profound state of worship. As we abstain, let our spirits ascend in adoration and thanksgiving for Your endless love and grace. Father, guide us through this journey of self-denial to rediscover Your path. We renew our commitment to Your ways and rekindle the flame of faith in our hearts, walking steadfastly in Your footsteps. In this sacrificial act, let us find a deeper understanding of Your will and purpose for our lives. May this fasting be not just an act of self-discipline, but a testament to our devotion and recommitment to You. Thank You, Father, that Your joy is our strength and that even in our weakness, Your strength is made perfect. In the name of Jesus, we pray.Amen ----- Thank you for joining me on Meditating The Word today. This is Cheree, reminding you that you are in my prayers. I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow.  Until next time, be blessed and be a blessing. ---- Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/richard-bodgers/earth-in-bloomLicense code: PKB2GOTPFQSZZFD7 Music from Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/sonder-house/dreaming-elliott-jacquesLicense code: 5HBP1CI7GED7IEQD Back Roller mentioned: https://amzn.to/3O9XWEJ #commissionsearned Fasting Resource: Fasting: Opening the Door to a Deeper, More Intimate, More Powerful Relationship With God by Jentezen Franklin -- https://amzn.to/4b2vUVq - #CommissionsEarnedOR, listen to the audiobook free: https://amzn.to/4b4216Y - #CommissionsEarned #meditatingtheword #podcast #fasting #fastingandprayer #confession #worship #recommitment
