Dr. Gobin would like to highlight that even a sesame seed can cause an allergic reaction and should be taken seriously. She wanted to point out that the trace amount that may have been seen previously is different than purposefully adding it. The interior portion of a seed contains the highly allergenic protein. The intentional grinding up of sesame into flour is what is being seen recently and extremely concerning.
